I asked Kees de Koning (Top Notch) as co-curator for this photo exhibition and Ilja Meefout as photographer. The exhibition takes visitors to the favorite spot in the Bijlmer of Henkie T, MocroManiac, Latifah, Rotjoch and Akwasi. Which vision is there behind their music and entrepreneurship? And also, how has growing up in the Bijlmer unpacked? Parallel to the exhibition is a collaboration with young people from Stichting Jongeren Die het Kunnen (JDK). These young people are ‘trained’ to become museum hosts in collaboration with the Amsterdam Museum. The opening of the exhibition was during Museumnacht Amsterdam 2018! Click here for the aftermovie.
