On the 18th of April, we celebrated the grand opening of my exhibition Fashion Statements, in which I am looking for a different, modern way of dealing with historical fashion pieces from the Amsterdam Museum, and exploring the past, present and future of fashion statements. I curated a visually stunning exhibition and draw a wide range of information about the Amsterdam Museum. For me, curating is more than putting together enticing selections of objects; I am also a guardian of cultural heritage. It’s my role to come in, make sense of it all, and present a picture of where fashion and art will head next. I am super proud of this exhibition and can't wait to hear what you think about it. A special shout out to Annemarie den Dekker and the whole Amsterdam Museum – team!
