On Friday 8 July I will speak at 3:00 PM in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht during the National Symposium ‘Visual art in the heart of society’. Other speakers include Touria Meliani (Alderman for Art and Culture and Monuments and Heritage, Municipality of Amsterdam) and Gunay Uslu (State Secretary for Culture and Media).

What I am going to talk about? About a personal story that really touched me. A fierce event that made me realize how much work there is still to do to ensure that everyone participates in social life on an equal basis and to ensure that art and culture is a rich source of inspiration, knowledge and representation for everyone. Because that is what we are committed to at OSCAM: everyone participates, everyone is equal, and art is a rich source for life.
