In recent months I have been working with Lisa Whittle and Roberto Luis Martins on the fashion expo ‘the new normal’, a collaborative project between OSCAM and Modemuze. Making an exhibition in corona time: is very different from normal. Not only the collaboration behind the scenes, but also the relationship with the public is different.
At the same time, there is so much more going on all over the world than just corona. And let fashion be just a field that reacts quickly to current events in a creative, visual way – on the catwalk, online and on the street.
This was the starting point for ‘the new normal’. The result is a collaboration with designers and fashion houses, bloggers and dutch museums, which reflects on the past period and the future. Do you want to know what is ‘the new normal’ really? Or perhaps better: what could it be?
